Every wrinkle of grief disappears,
as long as the magic of a song prevails.

Biography
Anja Stäbler
Anja Stäbler

The soprano Anja Corinna Staebler studied music with a major in violin and French before she studied Vocal Pedagogy (Diploma) and Classical Solo Singing (Diploma), and subsequently completed a postgraduate studies “Concert Exam”.

In 2007, she was a scholarship holder of “Pro Musica e.V.” and the Richard Wagner Association Halle in 2009. She has sung under renowned conductors such as Sir Roger Norrington, Michael Hofstetter, Jonathan Nott, Krysztof Penderecki and Ton Koopman.

In the course of master classes with Barbara Schlick and Ralf Popken she deepened herself into the practice of Ancient Music.

Further masterclasses in the field of Contemporary Music and solo opera singing complete her artistic training.

She joined, inter alia, in opera productions like “La finta giardiniera” (W.A. Mozart – Sandrina) at the Thalia Theater Halle/Saale, KKT Stuttgart as a witch and mother in “Hänsel & Gretel” (E. Humperdinck) and the premiere of the opera “Cantor” (Ingomar Grünauer) at the State’s Opera House in Halle/Saale.

Her repertoire ranges from baroque opera beyond oratorio to the song of the 21st century.

Beyond singing concerts, she also teaches classical solo singing and has several years of experience as a choir director and vocal trainer.

Together with the pianist Chikako Inoue-Fujita, she performs in Lied recitals. The current program “Schlagende Herzen” (“Beating Hearts”) includes songs by Richard Strauss and Richard Wagner.

In addition to her native German mother tongue, she is fluent in English, French and Italian. She also speaks Spanish, learns Chinese and is a language trainer – also for German as a foreign language.
